Kilmore Cup Day - Good Form Preview

THE GAME PLAN for Kilmore – with Michael Polster

Best All-up

Cosmic Under Fire (Race 3 no. 6)
Has been airborne in claiming grade this time in and will find today’s assignment much easier compared to what he has been contesting at Melton of late. Mach Ruler looks like getting to the pegs first and will more than likely look to trail so with a relatively easy run at the head of affairs on the cards expect this bloke to be too good.

Caribbean Blaster (Race 7 no. 3)
Comes off two easy mobile victories at Melton and showed the standing start is no problem for him by blitzing his rivals in the Gammalite there three runs ago in fast time for the 2760m journey. He steps up to the 3150m today, which is a slight query, but with a lack of any real pressure, plus the fact he will get an easy lead it looks as though he will continue on his winning way.
Should get around $2.50 - $3 back for every $1 you invest.

BLACK BOOKERS – (Racing Tonight)

Mister Grizzly (Race 5 no. 1)
Was noted making up ground out wide on the track in a blistering last half of 55.1 when sixth behind Caribbean Blaster at Melton last start. Today’s race is a tough one but he comes up with barrier 1, will be prominent in the run and you could do worse than have something on him at big odds. Click here to view his most recent run.

BLACK BOOKERS – (Shepparton Last Night)

Zedaguy
Hit the line strongly from midfield first up from a break when second to the smart Easy Lightning to be beaten a head at the end of a 57.7 final half. He is yet to win in 8 starts but will be busting his maiden very soon on the strength of last night’s performance. Click here to view the run.

Baltimore Boy
Did a stack of work in a slick lead time to find the front before eventually handing up to Apollos Gift at the bell and his effort to run fourth behind that smart fellow was excellent. He has been thereabouts in four goes this season and will be winning a similar grade event in the not too distant future. Click here to view the run.

Classic Icon
Surprisingly went back to the pegs from his wide alley and never saw daylight until the final 100m when a fast-finishing third to Panorose. He has a strong sprint on him when given the right run and with better fortune next time he is sure to take holding out in a suitable race. Click here to view the run.

STAR TRIALLERS – (Racing Tonight)

Ti Vogliobene (Race 3 no. 11)
Veteran campaigner who resumes from a break today off the back of two handy Shepparton trials behind quality types Bitobliss and Beach Melody earlier this month. He had been mixing it with Jaccka Clive, Smoken Up, Caribbean Blaster and Make Mine Cullen before going for a spell and should run well in claiming grade first up.

Decorated Jasper (Race 5 no. 6)
Was in great form last season and boasts a win over Sushi Sushi and Caribbean Blaster at Melton in 1:53.5 two runs ago so you know this bloke is a serious racehorse on his day. He looked sharp in a recent Melton trial behind Smoken Up when beaten a neck at the end of a 56.5 last half and will be hard to hold out if he gets the right luck from the wide barrier.
