Our White Knight (Race 7 no. 2)  $4
Was placed at a disadvantage over the last 500m with a flat tyre on his sulky in the Kilmore Cup last week and didn’t do a bad job to finish sixth all things considered.
He is a great chance of finding the pegs first today and whether Gavin Lang decides to hold up or take a sit on a suitable horse he looks a terrific gamble each way on a 1 x 3 basis.

STAR TRIALLERS – (Racing Tonight)

Modern Hitch (Race 1 no. 2)

Showed talent in 7 outings last season and resumes into a winnable race today off the back of an easy trial success on this circuit last week.

Brunelleschi (Race 2 no. 4)

Vicbred Super Series champion from last term who looked sharp winning a recent Melton workout and would only need to go around safely to be too good first up.

Donkiri (Race 5 no. 9)

Talented mare who was been set for this series and will take beating today on her latest trial win at Melton last Monday night over main rival Shes Commando.

Blucolla Moon (Race 8 no. 10)

Mick Stanley-prepared daughter of Union Guy on debut who looks ready to run a race first up going on her trial triumph at Melton last Monday night in 2:03.5.

BLACK BOOKERS – (Racing Tonight)

Kasyanov (Race 5 no. 7)
Ran a huge race in the Kilmore Trotters Cup last week behind I Didnt Do It after making an early error and having the audacity to be there fighting it out on the turn before weakening in the straight. He will find this an easier assignment and providing he is on his best behaviour today he should be mighty hard to beat. Click here to view the run.

Composed (Race 7 no. 5)

Had no luck whatsoever in the Kilmore Cup last start after copping a check at the 500m before working home well into seventh placing behind Bitobliss in a slick last quarter. He was excellent in the Nyah Cup at Swan Hill prior and did run a game second to Bitobliss at Melton three back so he looks the value runner in the Cup. Click here to view the run.

BLACK BOOKERS – (Bendigo Last Night)

Op Hands Down

Worked hard in the early stages in a quick lead time to find the front before taking a sit on Royal Witness and running that smart fellow to a long neck at the finish. He is a 21-start maiden but that looks likely to change this campaign on his excellent effort last night. Click here to view the run.

Smooth Freddy

Was forced to park outside of the flying Bon Jovi for the mile journey and just failed to mow that bloke down at the end of very slippery last half of 56.1. He was terrific winning his two previous outings at Cranbourne and it won’t be long before he gets back into the winners list. Click here to view the run.
