Good Form Preview - Saturday @ Bray

The Game Plan for Ballarat - with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)

Best Bet

Manwarra Makamile (Race 5 no. 6) ($1.70)
This bloke is one of many Emma Stewart-trained runners resuming here and he has any amount of talent. The front line draw and opposition both suit. Plus he trialled impressively at this course last week so expect him to be a shade too good first-up tonight.

Best Roughies

Absolutely Awesome (Race 1 no. 1) ($31)
This mare is yet to show her full potential but she’s much more talented than her figure formline would suggest. She’s only a small chance of upsetting the favourite but is worth investing in on a 1x4 basis.

Manningham Park (Race 7 no. 2) ($31)
Another pacer with far more ability than the numbers next to his name, this guy is a quick beginner who should race handy and based on his excellent trial @ Melton recently he’s another worth backing on a 1x4 basis.

Zurbaran (Race 7 no. 6) ($26)
This guy also lines up in the last leg of the Quad and his last start was good enough to suggest he is once again nearing his best, which would be more than good enough to feature in the finish tonight. Again he is a 1x4 proposition at the price.

Best Quinella

Our Missionary Man (Race 2 no. 8) & Union Belle (Race 2 no. 2)
This won’t pay much but should kick the night off to a good start, particularly as the Quinella is likely to pay more than the 8 to beat 2 Exacta & Union Belle does have some little chance of success.
Best Trifectas

Race 5
6/ 9/ 1,2,4,8. $60 gets 1500%.
6/ 1,2,4,8/ 9. $40 gets 1000%.

Quaddies x 4
1,4,5,7,9/ 6/ 1/ 1. $25 gets 500%.
1,4,5,7,9/ 6/ 1/ 2,6,8,9. $20 gets 100%
1,4,5,7,9/ 6/ 2,8,9,10,11/ 1. $30 gets 116.67%
1,4,5,7,9/ 6/ 2,8,9,10,11/ 2,6,8,9. $25 gets 25%.

Black Bookers (Racing Tonight)

Pete Of Pan (Race 3 no. 2) ($4.50)
This bloke is very talented on his day and has been on the Good Form Black Book radar for some time. He first caught the eye when well beaten but flashing home behind Cosmic Under Fire on Kilmore Cup Day and has only thrived since then with his last start effort behind Veranjee further proof that a breakthrough win is just around the corner. Baltimore Boy (Race 6 no. 2) ($15)
This guy did a stack of work in a slick lead time to find the front before eventually handing up to Apollos Gift at the bell last start at Shepparton and his effort to run fourth behind that smart fellow was excellent. He has been thereabouts in four goes this season and looks a realistic threat to Brunelleschi here if everything goes to plan. Click here to view the run.

Star Triallers (Racing Tonight)

Fearless Leader (Race 1 no. 10) ($1.50)
Genuine 4YO who finished off in 58.6 for a comfortable win in his trial on November 4.

Our Missionary Man (Race 2 no. 8) ($1.30)
Unbeaten 3YO with plenty of scope who cruised home for 3m win finishing off in 58.2 last Sunday.

Manwarra Makamile (Race 5 no. 6) ($1.70)
Another unbeaten pacer with Emma Stewart who won his trial by 18m, finishing off in 58.9.

Manningham Park (Race 7 no. 2) ($31)
This guy rated 1:59.4 winning a recent Tabcorp Park trial when finishing off in 57.87 seconds. He won’t have to go any better tonight to figure in the finish at very big odds.

Black Bookers (Tabcorp Park - Friday night)

Claire Jasper
More than handy mare who flashed home in an unsuitably run race three back then made her own luck when racing tough and sticking on strongly behind Our Crime Of Passion last night. She is racing in terrific heart and will return to the winners list sooner rather than later. Click here to view the run.

Alchemy
This bloke can be a little hard to follow but when he gets it all right he’s a very good horse. A terrific leader when on his A Game he rattled home from the rear despite having little luck getting into the race last night and his next success is also not far away. Click here to view the run.
Blucolla Tigerpie
This is the third time Michael Stanley’s rising star has found her way into the Good Form Black Book. There is certainly a vacancy for the title of Victoria’s finest female pacer in the wake of Make Mine Cullen’s retirement & more displays like last night could see this girl occupy that role.
