Good Form Preview - Sunday Session @ Lords

THE GAME PLAN for Bendigo – with Michael Polster (@MickPolster)

The Money Race

I think The Dip and Cheveyo have the edge on their opponents and in a race where there should be some value up for grabs they look a great base for exotics. Below is how I’m playing with $100 total spend.

Race 7
Trifecta: 4,7/ 4,7/ 1,2,3,5,8,10,11.  $35 gets you 250%
Trifecta: 4,7/ 3,5,8,10,11/ 4,7.  $15 gets you 150%
First Four: 4,7/ 4,7/ 1,2,3,5,8,10,11/ 1,2,3,5,8,10,11,12.  $35 gets you 35.71%
First Four: 4,7/ 3,5,8,10,11/ 4,7/ 1,2,3,5,8,10,11,12.  $15 gets you 21.42%

Best Bets

Race 1 no. 10 Radiant River $3
Tough type who is expected to be injected into the contest shortly after the dust settles and will be mighty hard to get past thereafter.

Race 3 no. 7 Yankee Avenue $2.70
Can be a little risky but there is no doubt he has these covered ability-wise and if he reproduces his Ballarat triumph three back he’ll be winning.

Race 4 no. 6 Steam Washed $1.60
Trialled brilliantly at Shepparton recently to prepare her for this and although drawn widely with pace to her inside her class should tell at the end

Race 5 no. 2 Please Dont Talk $1.80
Terrific in defeat last time behind Gangster Boy at Swan Hill and from the beaut gate with her main rivals drawing awkwardly this looks her race.

Quaddies (x2)

6/ 2/ 2,3,4,8,9/ 4,7.  $60 gets you 600%
6/ 3,5,7,8/ 2,3,4,8,9/ 4,7.  $40 gets you 125%

STAR TRIALLERS - (Racing Tonight)

Steam Washed (Race 4 no. 6) $1.60
Resumes from a 4-month break tonight off the back of an easy Shepparton trial success 17 days ago where she rated 2:01.7 and slipped home in 57.6. She competed at the elite level with distinction last season and although she will need a bit to go her way from the wide alley her class should see her home first up.

Like It Chilled (Race 8 no. 4) $2.10
Former Kiwi 4YO now under the care of Ross Graham and this guy looks more than handy going by his trial victory on this track two weeks ago where he finished off in 28.9. He doesn’t meet any stars first up, draws OK and is sure to be well-fancied at his Aussie debut for an astute trotting stable.

BLACK BOOKERS – (Melton Last Night)

Abettorpunt
Was thrown in the deep end when he contested The Legends last night but showed he wasn’t out of place by running a slashing third to Bitobliss in ballistic time. He is a length or two behind the top class horses going around at the moment but he is sure to acquit himself well in whatever he contests in the coming weeks. Click here to view the run.
