Good Form Preview - Dirty Dozen @Melton

THE GAME PLAN for Melton – with Michael Polster

Best Bet

Majestic Reign (Race 1 no. 1) $2
Unbeaten in three runs for Ross Sugars this campaign and she looks a great chance of making it four on the bounce tonight as she should have the speed to lead from the ace alley and Greg Sugars would only need to steal a cheap quarter to get her home.

Best Value Bet

Hoagy Bromac (Race 3 no. 3) $4
This guy hasn’t been suited by back row draws at his past couple but tonight he gets the opportunity to race at the head of affairs and looks worthy of a gamble each way in an open contest.

The Money Race (Race 1)
Looks a typically tricky night at headquarters but I think the best race to play is the opener where Majestic Reign looks too good for her rivals and there appear to be limited place chances so I’m spending $100 on the following bets.

Trifecta: 1/ 5,6/ 2,5,6,9,10.  $50 gets you 625%
First Four: 1/ 5,6/ 2,5,6,9,10/ 2,5,6,9,10.  $50 gets you 208.33%

Quaddies (x4) ($100 outlay)
1/ 3,6,7,8,10/ 2,11/ 1,3,4,5,9,10.  $30 gets you 50%
1/ 3,6,7,8,10/ 4,8,13/ 1,3,4,5,9,10.  $30 gets you 33.33%
5,8,9/ 3,6,7,8,10/ 2,11/ 1,3,4,5,9,10.  $20 gets you 11.11%
5,8,9/ 3,6,7,8,10/ 4,8,13/ 1,3,4,5,9,10.  $20 gets you 7.4%

BLACK BOOKERS – Cobram Yesterday

Washmepockets
Put up an amazing performance in yesterday’s Cup where he missed away from the stand, gave them at least 50m head start, tacked onto the pack with a lap to travel and had the audacity to rush home out wide on the track in a scintillating last quarter to run third to Choice Achiever.

STAR TRIALLERS

One Tough Reign (Race 3 no. 5) $13
Has had the two trials in the lead-up to tonight with his latest effort at Bacchus Marsh last Saturday his best as he finished second to M1 performer Kid Coconut in fast time and in an open contest you could do worse than to have something each way on him at good odds.

It Is Billy (Race 10 no. 1) $1.50
Top quality 4YO resuming from a break tonight off the back of an easy Bendigo trial success 11 days back and if he can muster the speed to lead from the pole, or at worst get away from the inside shortly after the start he should make light work of these first up.
