Good Form Preview - Wednesday Night at Geelong

THE GAME PLAN for Geelong – with Michael Polster (@mickpolster)

All Up
There are going to be a number of short-priced favourites on tonight’s card and they all look like winning, which usually leads me to playing the exotics, but I really can’t find a race to target with either lack of value or a few question marks next to some of the runners engaged.  So with that in mind I’ve decided to change tact and have plumped for an all up on four races where I really can’t see any risk involved.  By no means will we get rich off the below bet but by my calculations we should go close to doubling our outlay and I think that’s a better outcome than mucking around in races where things may not pan out the way I think.  I’m going to throw $400 at this to make it an even $500 spend for the night including the Quaddie, but you can invest whatever you feel comfortable with.

Race 4 no. 2 Keayang Starzzz            (Approx. odds $1.20)   WIN
Race 5 no. 10 Machabiba                  (Approx. odds $1.20)   PLACE
Race 6 no. 1 Our Horizon                  (Approx. odds $1.20)   PLACE
Race 7 no. 5 Johnny Quid                 (Approx. odds $1.20)   PLACE

Quaddies x 4 $100 Outlay
2/ 10/ 1,3,4/ 5.  $35 gets you 1166.66%
2/ 10/ 1,3,4/ 3,4.  $35 gets you 583.33%
2/ 1,9/ 1,3,4/ 5.  $15 gets you 250%
2/ 1,9/ 1,3,4/ 3,4.  $15 gets you 125%

STAR TRIALLER

Glenferrie Arch (Race 2 no. 8) $2.50
Craig Demmler-trained Major In Art filly on debut who has had the two trials in the lead up to tonight, winning a workout here in 2:02.2 for the mile just over three weeks ago and finishing a close up third to Gowan Brae (Tuscan Breeze 2nd) at Melton 16 days back in 2:01.8 for the 1720m.  She looks a talented type and should be hard to beat first up.
