Good Form Preview - Frank Ryan Raceway

The Game Plan for Echuca – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)

Best Bet

Modern Velocity (Race 5 no. 7) $6
If you’re only having one bet all day then have a serious straight out plonk on this girl tonight. She has been marked at $6 in AAP publications but won’t start anything like those odds. Simply put, she looks almost certain to follow likely leader Lord Raptor (1) in transit and if she does then I can’t possibly see him holding her out at the knock.

Best Each Way

Maarek (Race 2 no. 10) $7
Most regular trots punters know that if you’re not in front or on the speed at Echuca, you’re in a world of pain but if this bloke comes up anything close to the $7 he’s been quoted at then back him Each Way despite the grandstand gate. He came from the clouds to win on Horsham Cup day then battled on gamely in much, much better company at Ballarat on Saturday night.

Best Quinella

Satisfied Grin (Race 4 no. 1) & Kurahaupo Quin (Race 4 no. 3)
This one is a little risky but if Kurahaupo Quin (3) finds the lead as expected with Satisfied Grin (1) strapped to his back it’s hard to see them not running one-two. If you want to play wider I’ve got a Trifecta outlined below.

1,3/ 1,3/ 2,5,6,7,9. $50 gets 500%.

Quaddies

1,3,6/ 7/ 4/ 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. $40 gets 166.67%.
1,3,6/ 7/ 3,7,9/ 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. $36 gets 50%.
1,3,6/ 1,8,10,11/ 4/ 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. $24 gets 25%.

Black Booker (Racing Today)

Satisfied Grin (Race 4 no.1) $3.70
This guy is a genuine type who has finished on the podium despite terribly tough runs at each of his past two efforts. He comes up with the ideal draw on a track where being on-pace is crucial so rate him as a massive winning hope with even luck tonight. Click here to view his most recent run.

Star Trialler

Lights And Music (Race 7 no. 4) $3
This bloke has more than his fair share of talent and tuned up for tonight’s first-up run with a comfortable trial victory on this track five weeks ago. He rated 2:02.3 in that win and finished off in 58-seconds beating Sir Philo and Lookatme Philo so there’s no reason why he won’t win here tonight.
