Good Form Preview - Manic Monday @ Charlton

The Game Plan for Charlton – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)

Best Bets

Centonic (Race 5 no. 9) $2.70
If you’re going to have one bet all day make it a decent straight out lash on this guy. A dynamite sit-sprinter, he has been in blistering form without breaking through in recent starts. It’s true that you do take your fate into your own hands backing get-back types but with reasonable early speed expected here, Daryl Douglas will only need a half-decent cart into the race here to win and if things don’t go to plan he’ll still finish top-two so play around him in exotics.

The Kingston Flyer (Race 7 no.6) $1.80
If there’s one stone cold moral across today’s programme it’s this guy. He was in outstanding form late last year and resumes into a race he should comfortably win as the Good Form Star Trialler. It would be a massive shock to see him get rolled so back him straight out and isolate him in your Quads.

All-Up

One great thing about today’s card is there are a few runners that just can’t miss a drum so while the booty won’t be massive have a crack at this low-risk All-Up & if we put enough on there might be something to smile about at day’s end.

Chiquita Bromac (Race 4 no. 6) Place
Centonic (Race 5 no. 9) Place
The Kingston Flyer (Race 7 no. 6) Win

According to my calculations, if you have a $100 crack here you’ll walk away with around $280.

Quaddies (x3)

1,2,5,6,8/ 9/ 1/ 6. $30 gets 600%.
1,2,5,6,8/ 1,3,4,6,8/ 1/ 6. $50 gets 200%.
1,2,5,6,8/ 9/ 7,8,10,12/ 6. $20 gets 100%.

THE CAVEAT HERE IS THAT IF YOU’RE LOOKING AT A MASSIVE DIVIDEND HEADING INTO THE LAST LEG LAY OFF ON CLASSIC LIFE (8) TO COVER YOUR OUTLAY.

Star Triallers

Marty Monkhouser (Race 6 no. 1) $2.50
This guy has any amount of talent and indicated he was ready for a big first up performance by claiming a recent Kilmore trial, finishing off in 58.1. The ace alley is no spoil but with G Sugars in the sulky and ordinary luck he should win here today.

The Kingston Flyer (Race 7 no. 6) $1.80
Classy conveyance who readied himself for today’s first-up run with a 20m trial win at Bendigo, rating 2:01.1 and finishing off in a brutal 57.3. A repeat of that performance would see him far too good today so back him with confidence regardless of the quote.
