Good Form Preview - Friday @ Bendigo

The Game Plan for Bendigo – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
*Melton Game Plan tomorrow available from 10pm tonight.

The late scratching of Magical Telf in Race 7 this morning has set the cat among the pigeons to a certain degree, as he was going to feature in one of my Money Races but I’m still very keen on the Quaddies in particular, while I’m also keen to have a crack at 1 All-Up, 1 Best Value Bet and 2 Money Races tonight.

Best Bets/All-Up ($50)
Timeseel (Race 5 no. 11) $2.10
This guy has been a little hard to follow at times, as many expected he’d fly through his grades and progress to some level of stardom but he has progressed a little slower than that to date. Having said that, he was thoroughly dominant beating many of his key rivals’ last time out at Swan Hill and a similar display should get a replica result here tonight.

Jazz King (Race 7 no. 4) $1.60
In many ways, this race looked a two-horse war between the above pacer and Magical Telf but the scratching of the latter horse has made it one way traffic for mine. The only little question mark is that he was nowhere near his best last start and has come an awfully long way in a very short time for Shaun Kittel, so he may be hitting the wall, but if the real Jazz King turns up here he should lead and win.

Best Value ($25 Each Way)
Art Prevails (Race 2 no. 1) $5.50
This bloke does not win out of turn but he is very consistent and given his major rivals here include a 3YO filly and a poorly drawn former Kiwi I think he’s a huge hope of landing on the podium and also some chance of taking out the prize.

The Money Races
Race 5 ($50 Flexi Trifectas)
As mentioned above, I think Timeseel (11) is very close to a moral in this and given there are limited chances of snaring the silver medal I think it’s a great race in which to play a couple of skinny Tricks.

11/ 2,3,9,13/ 2,3,9,13. $36 gets 300%
11/ 2,3,9,13/ 1,8,12. $14 gets 116.67%

Race 10 ($50 Flexi First 4)
Dell Boy (8) & Weregonnarock (9) have comprised the Quinella so many times of late it seems they’re building their own private rivalry. There’s no reason they won’t continue to dominate here but I’m happy to throw Good Form Star Trialler Rumbaron (4) into the mix even though he failed on debut as he has obvious ability and gets 20m off his well-performed adversaries tonight.

4,8,9/ 4,8,9/ 2,4,8,9/ 1,2,3,4,5,8,9. $50 gets 104.17%

The Quads (x3)
2,3,4,5,7,10,12,13/ 11/ 1,2,3,4,5,12/ 4. $72 gets 150%
2,3,4,5,7,10,12,13/ 11/ 1,2,3,4,5,12/ 3,7. $16 gets 16.67%
2,3,4,5,7,10,12,13/ 2,3,9,13/ 1,2,3,4,5,12/ 4. $12 gets 6.06%
