Good Form Preview - Thursday @ Cranbourne

The Game Plan for Cranbourne – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
Tonight’s Cranbourne programme starts very nicely with a couple of stone cold morals from the Adam Kelly camp but things get much more tricky from there and I’m advising we go in search of value and play some pretty wide old Quads to try and make some coin.

Best Bets/All-Up ($50)
Lady Suffragette (Race 1 no. 2) $2
This mare was first up in Australia when sizzling home behind fellow Kiwi recruit, Jean Baptiste, at Geelong. She was well backed there and a number of things went wrong so it would be a massive shock to see her rolled in this even easier event tonight.

Sandy Kay (Race 2 no. 6) $1.50
This girl was one of Australia’s best freshman fillies last term and indicated she’s lost nothing since a little break by obliterating her rivals’ first-up at Maryborough last start. She should just cruise to the top here and lead this lot a merry dance for sure.

Best Value ($20 Each Way)
Greenough (Race 5 no. 13) $8
I’ve always had a reasonable opinion of this bloke and after disappointing on Kilmore Cup Day he showed his true ability by blousing a handy enough C0 filed last time out. He steps up in class with the poor draw here but that just mean better odds for us if he gets the right card into things late.

Our Eastwood Cullen (Race 7 no. 7) $7.50
This is another pacer I’ve liked ever since he was recruited from across the ditch and after watching him humble Franco Jackson and co last time out I think he can go right on with the job here, poor draw and all. If you’re having one EW bet all day, make sure it is on him.

Best Roughie ($5 x $15)
Courageous Spirit (Race 6 no. 5) $13
The key here is that this bloke should spear to the lead and have options once he does. There are no stars engaged here so whether he shoots for an all-the-way success or takes a sit on  something in the run, he’s a legitimate Each Way hope at double figure odds.

The Game Plan for Cranbourne with Andrew Evans (@AndrewEvansHRV)
Best Bets ($100 All Up Win)
(Race 1 No.2 Lady Suffragette) $2
This mare didn’t have a lot of luck at her first run in Australia at Geelong where she was weaving through late for a fast finishing second. Expect her to take up a prominent position from her good draw here and in a race that lacks depth she looks well placed.

(Race 3 No.2 Slippinalong) $2.35
This guy had no luck when heavily supported at Geelong last start. He finds himself in an ideal race tonight and he should settle in a good spot from his favourable draw and be very hard to beat.
