Good Form Preview - Monday @ Charlton

The Game Plan for Charlton – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
It’s a lot easier to get out of bed on Monday morning when you’ve had a winning weekend on the punt and thankfully all Good Form followers should have had just that with almost $600 jumping in over Saturday and Sunday just gone. There’s no rest for the wicked however so we’re buttering up on what looks a nice little programme at Charlton w/ 1 Best Bet, 1 Next best Bet, 2 Money Races and some Quads.

Best Bet ($50 Win)
Willow Robyn (Race 2 no. 4) $1.65
This bloke is first-up from a break without a trial but he’s got very good gate speed and plenty on these when it comes to class so he’ll be leading and winning everything being equal today.

Next Best Bet ($25 Win)
Exsalont (Race 5 no. 2) $3
He copped a touch too much pressure in front last start but continues to race well and should lead once more this afternoon so he will get his chance to finally break through.

The Money Races
Race 3 (Flexi Trifectas for $50)
The Fire Within (4) is first-up here but he’s won a recent trial and is a horse on the rise while Sparks On Nudgee (3) should share the podium with him, particularly if she find the pegs first and hands up from there.

4/ 3/ 1,5,6. $30 gets 1000%
4/ 1,5,6/ 3. $20 gets 666.67%

Race 5 (Flexi Trifectas for $75)
As mentioned above, I’m pretty keen on Exsalont (2) here but I do concede small hopes to both Tipperary Seelster (3) and Additallup (7) who should fight for the silver medal if they do not roll the fave.

2/ 7/ 1,3,4. $33 gets 1100%
2/ 3/ 1,4,7. $18 gets 600%
3,7/ 2/ 1,3,4,7. $24 gets 400%

The Quads ($100 spend)
1,2,3,6/ 2/ 3,4/ 1,3,5. $52 gets 216.67%
1,2,3,6/ 2/ 1,7/ 1,3,5. $12 gets 50%
1,2,3,6/ 3,7/ 3,4/ 1,3,5. $36 gets 74%

Star Trialler
Seven And A Half (Race 6 No.4) $2.50
Craig Knowles will return to the races with his four-year-old gelding today in the third leg of the Quaddie and if his three trials are anything to go by, he will be hard to beat.
Most particularly his latest trial where he rushed home in 57.3secs at the Ballarat circuit just under two weeks ago.
Having shown ability in his first preparation he looks close to the mark for his first-up run today.
