We see some really nice horses go around today at the home of the trotter however it’s not just the squaregaiters who will be out to impress, we have another heat of the Central Victorian Pacing Championship which has been won by the likes of Restrepo and Bitobliss in the past, so look out for a new star to emerge this year.

Shez A Spy (Race 1 No.5) $2.80
This girl really looks the class runner of this race following a heat win in the very same series at Echuca on New Years Day. She had been piecing together a consistent preparation prior to that and if she can replicate that form she will again be hard to beat today.
Lies (Race 2 No.7) $2.20
There is little between the top two chances in the races but I’m siding with Lies (7) even with the worst draw. She is well-related being a half-relation to champion mare Jadah Rose and her last start sixth was not only in a much tougher race but she had no luck when breaking in the run. All things being equal she should be winning tonight on her way to better things.
Invasive (Race 6 No.5) $2.20
In a pretty tough standing start trot race I think Invasive (5) is clearly the most talented horse in the race and has already resumed with a win so it’s hard to see him being beaten today. He has to contend with a 20-metre handicap however his main threats all start from similar, or worse, marks.

Blacks A Beauty (Race 5 No.4) $4.20
This girl has produced two cracking runs since transferring to the Lance Justice stable and with the front row draw you can expect the ex-Taswegian to be in the first couple on settling. From there I think she has the class to get over the line.

Race 2 ($50 flexi first 4)
Not only have we best betted the top tip here, I love this as a betting medium because I think we can make some coin with a straight first 4. Our Petite Soeur (1) is almost a good a think to run second as is Annas Innocent (2) to run third so we will be banking on the ultra-consistent Stormy Lecutre (4) to sew up fourth and make the race a double-whammy for us.
