We’re not going to go overboard with wagers at Carisbrook Raceway tonight but I’m very, very confident with the ones we’ve found. In total I’m just going to attack one Best Value Bet, plus two skinny Money Races and in a break from tradition, just the single Quad.

Best Value ($25 Each Way)

Nonno Medoro (Race 7 no. 3) $6.50
Trainer Peter Berrell has done a magnificent job to bring this bloke back after four years out, winning two of three races in the twilight of a troubled career. How long he can stand up to the rigours of regular racing remains to be seen but I’m tipping that he can cross this lot at the start and if he does then the $6.50 is good enough for me.

The Money Races

Race 1 (Flexi Trifectas for $100)
The Speed Map here tells me that Under Cover Bettor (1) should lead with Lotsa Life (5) parked outside him and Nimoy (8) tucked in behind. If that scenario eventuates then they will dominate proceedings here (almost) for sure.

Race 5 (Flexi First Fours for $100)

It would be one of the bigger blowouts in recent racing history if Dieing Secret (1) doesn’t lead here with Madam Pom Pom (2) on her back and those two finishing well clear of their rivals. Id Daryl Douglas does what I expect and drops right in behind those two to lob three pegs with Blended Family (3), he’ll have every hope of finishing third of fourth.
