Good Form Preview - Tuesday @ Bendigo

The Game Plan for Bendigo – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
We kicked the week off in a manner that I for one would prefer to forget yesterday but the good news is that tonight’s Bendigo meeting is a fair deal more appealing than yesterday’s Yarra Valley card. Bespoke Artist is the only certainty of the day but he’ll be a very short price and I’d prefer to play the exorbitant odds offered about some very good horses in today’s Herald Sun along with 1 Money race and our usual quartet of Quads.

Best Value ($20 Each Way)
Sweet Wise (Race 1 no. 12) $7
You’ll have to hold your breath here because it’s never easy to win any race these days from outside the second lien but I am near enough to certain that this mare has plenty on her rivals here tonight and as long as the pace isn’t ridiculous she should sweep up and show her class here when it matters – or finish somewhere in the placings at very worst.

Im Havinaball (Race 6 no. 13) $10
This filly is still on a steep learning curve and she also has the outside second line draw but she’s jam packed full of talent, drops in grade here from sitting parked in the Princess of Speed last time out and simply shouldn’t start anything close to $11. I’ve got great faith in this filly and w/ Gavin in the cart I think she is the one to beat.

Best Roughies ($10 x $30)
Queens Vacation (Race 3 no. 1) $17
There’s no getting around the fact that The Boss Man (6) is the one to beat here but I can’t have the above mare at $17 in her current form. She’s been huge chasing home the extremely promising Maori Time at two of her past three and off the front mark here, she will give some cheek.

Im A Peregrine (Race 5 no. 5) $11
This bloke has always been a bit hit and miss but when he’s on song he is pretty handy and this race should suit him down to the ground for one key reason; he should cross over early and find the lamplighting role and have options once he does. If the pressure is moderate he can lead them around and prove tough to roll and if the pain comes mid-race he’ll be dangerous from the trail so back him Each Way, or if the price is right, 1x3.

Bronze Destiny (Race 5 no. 6) $11
Peter Thompson’s small team are on absolute fire at the minute, as evidenced by the performances  of Graybuck and So It Goes at Yarra Valley yesterday afternoon and with the advantage of the front line draw, I think this bloke, who can race tough late and still be factor has every chance of also figuring in the finish.

The Money Race – Race 3
As mentioned above, I think a faultless display will see The Boss Man (6) either win or finish second here and with limited hopes to join him on the dais the three Tricks below should yield us some joy.

6/ 1,4/ 1,4,5,7,8. $30 gets 375%
6/ 5,8/ 1,4,5,7,8. $10 gets 125%
1,4/ 6/ 1,4,5,7,8. $10 gets 125%

The Quads (x4 for $150)
5,6,8,9,11/ 5,7,11,13/ 6,7/ 5,6,10. $89 gets 74.17%
5,6,8,9,11/ 5,7,11,13/ 6,7/ 7,8. $16 gets 20%
5,6,8,9,11/ 5,7,11,13/ 1,4,8/ 5,6,10. $36 gets 20%
5,6,8,9,11/ 1,2,12/ 6,7/ 5,6,10. $9 gets 20%
