Good Form Preview - Thursday @ Shepparton

The Game Plan for Shepparton – with Blake Redden (@BlakeRedden)
Best Bets/All Up ($50)
Stening (Race 1 no.7) $2
In a race where the three debutantes haven’t trialled to be any superstars, this guy really should be too strong for the small field today. He is a Bathurst Gold Crown heat winner who started the second favourite in the final when running sixth but back in class today expect him to work across from his outside of the front draw, sit first or second, and outsprint them late.

Lombo Final Touch (Race 2 no.4) $1.50
The second leg of our running-double will again be heavily reliant upon the NSW-trained runners with Lombo Final Touch low-flying at his last two Menangle starts. He has shown enough speed to lead from wide out in both of those so expect him to cruise across to the top and if he can run up to either of his latest efforts then he is clearly the one to beat.

Tezz Khora (Race 5 no.4) $1.70
We can hopefully end what looks a relatively safe all-up with this guy who finally vanquished his demons to find the line first last time. It was his first win in his last eight starts but this really isn’t any harder aside from perhaps Wounded (1) who does have early speed and could be a fly in the ointment. However I think this guy has a little class edge so he should be a handy start to the Quaddie.

The Money Race ($50 worth of Flexi Trifectas)
Race 7
I really like this race as a punting proposition with three clear winning chances for mine. Shakchloe (3) was good first up and should be improved plus has that weapon of early speed while Tombstone Eden (6) is awkwardly drawn but impossible to ignore after her last-start win in stronger company. The third of our key trio is Highview Connall (9) who is going from strength to strength and has put together two really nice wins. We are going to box those up then play a couple of savers in case there is a little split amongst the placings.
