Good Form Preview - Wednesday @ Maryborough

The Game Plan for Maryborough – with Blake Redden (@BlakeRedden)
Best Bets ($30 Win)
Blitzsuzy (Race 4 no.3) $3
This girl has had just three starts with team Sugars and showed a nice little form peak last time out. She isn’t blistering off the arm but in a race devoid of any serious threats she should work her way into the hunt early and outclass her rivals, the main problem might be getting the $3 marked in today’s Herald Sun.

Soho Ledger (Race 5 no.7) $2.80
This guy is a super talented trotter who mixed it with the better 3YO’s of his generation which include Blitzthemcalder and The Boss Man. He can do things wrong but showed he was back to somewhere near his best with an arrogant win at Cranbourne first-up. He is a standing start winner at one of his two tries and has stepped cleanly in each so expect the 10-metre handicap to be no barrier to his winning chances today.

Best Value ($20 Win)
Illawong Cognac (Race 1 no.10) $7
This guy almost doubles as a star trialler having shown his wares at the Shepparton hit outs in the past few months. He looks to have a good turn of foot for a 2YO trotter and he has recently transferred to the Sugars team which can only enhance his chances. As always we will be holding our breath at the start with the babies trotters but I think he will be overs in an open race.

The Money Race ($50 Flexi Trifecta)
Race 7
This looks a terrific betting race with Our Cavort (1) well down in class from her Victoria Oaks heat and enough early toe to kick up while Hurricane Stride (4) is on the way up and finally put it all together last time. I do however think, outside the top two hopes, plenty of others can run into the money so rather than doing anything fantastical, we are going to play a nice little trifecta with the other chances thrown in for second and third.
