Good Form Preview - Wednesday @ Maryborough

The Game Plan for Maryborough – with Blake Redden (@BlakeRedden)
Best Bets ($40 win)
Illawong Armstrong (Race 4 No.4) $2.30
This guy started $2.20 on debut and despite galloping there and giving himself no chance; the writing was on the wall that he could well be a pretty smart young trotter. He did gallop fairly wildly again last time but got down quickly enough to catch them up and thoroughly dominate his rivals. This is his first try behind the mobile and provided he doesn’t break, he is clearly the horse to beat.

Dizzyinterest (Race 8 No.10) $3.20
This mare did it tough when taking the Bronze Series of the Breed For Speed on Great Southern Star night. She has since won and placed since before making a mistake at Coolamon and working overtime to find the chair before fading. She can be a devil in her gait but provided she gets off the arm cleanly, I can’t see them beating her.

Best Value ($25 win)
Mister Oz (Race 9 No.5) $5
This guy has been well in the market at all of his 5 starts and deservedly so, he looks a genuine talent but has some issues racing tractably. In a race where there isn’t any exposed form better than his, I think he is worth a small win bet if we get something like the $5 in today’s Herald Sun.

Best Roughie ($5 win x $15 place)
Nikkis Delight (Race 7 No.3) $26
This might be a bit of a Hail Mary play but this girl has good early speed and if she can cross the polemarker Seven Nations (1) then she comes into this with a serious place chance  given she has returned to some very good form in her last two which includes a second to Illawong Joyful (8) and a third to Ona Happy Note.

The Money Race
Race 1  ($40 worth of Flexi First 4’s)
Bespoke Artist (5) has mixed his form a little this prep but getting down into this class it’s almost impossible to see him beaten. He has the speed to lead while Sullenberger (2) was very good on debut against a smart one in Blitzsuzy and deserves to be rated the clear danger so we will play the following first fours.

5/2/3,4,8/3,4,6,7,8. 24 gets 200%
5/2/6,7/3,4,6,7,8. $8 gets 100%
2/5/3,4,8/3,4,6,7,8. $8 gets 100%

Quaddies (x4 worth $105)
8/4/3,5,6,8,9,11/10. $36 gets 500%
8/4/3,5,6,8,9,11/5,7. $18 gets 150%
1,4,9,11/4/3,5,6,8,9,11/10. $36 gets 100%
8/8,11/3,5,6,8,9,11/10. $15 gets 100%
