This guy might have started $70 last time but don’t let that deceive you. He ran well from there chair there and ran a really solid third at this course and distance two starts ago. Given he is drawn the best of any of the favourites, I’d expect him to remain prominent throughout and then find something in the lane.

Race 4
This looks the perfect opportunity to get some cash in the kitty before the Quads begin with Strawberry Heart (1) drawn well and in good form since transferring across the ditch, Vivant (2) improved markedly at his second lifetime start and is a serious winning threat if he continues on that spiral while Soho Jagger (6) was huge when defeating a similar field at big odds last time. Vikenti (8) is drawn behind them but has a good little turn of foot. All said I think any one of them can win so we will box them up in a trifecta then take a couple of savers with the only other hopes Notjustanothalombo (4) and Bella Cullen (7).

Race 8
This money race should be a little less complicated with Mildura Cup winner Im Blue Double Dee (6) striking a much easier assignment than recent times and looking the clear and away top pick. He has been in ripping, if a little unlucky, form since his big win so he can really sit anywhere in the run tonight and outclass them. Gotta Go Yanky (2) is drawn well and the other class runner of the race while most of the others have a shout for the placings so we are going to play the following trifectas.
