Good Form Preview - Tuesday Night @ Geelong

The Game Plan for Geelong – with Blake Redden (@BlakeRedden)

Best Bet ($50 win)

Glenferrie Shuffle (Race 7 No.2) $1.80

While this girl hasn’t been the most trustworthy pacer for punters since winning her Breeders Crown as a two-year-old, the underlying talent is still there and a return to form this preparation has her on the cusp of recapturing her absolute best. She is coming off four terrific placings behind the likes of Tandias Bromac and Eye Like Candy which is strong form for this sort of race and no matter where she lobs in the run, she is the horse to beat.

Best Value ($25 each way)

Glenferrie Bunter (Race 5 No.10) $6

We will be hoping the Glenferrie connection kicks us off in good style and I was impressed by this guy’s debut effort. He had the horror draw but was able to slot in and when he found clear air in the straight, he just kept hitting the line despite being beaten by a pretty handy horse in Valens (8). His main danger may well get locked away on the pegs today but even if he doesn’t, I think Glenferrie Bunter (10) can again run a place at decent odds.

The Money Race

Race 1 ($60 worth of Flexi Trifecta’s)

Illawong Armstrong (12) is simply an outstanding prospect who has looked like a genuine rising star in his last three wins. He can be a bit tricky in his gait but he went straight as an arrow last time, provided he does same here, he is all but over the line. In saying that, we will make one little provision in case anything goes wrong with the favourite.
