He led on that occasion but then showed some versatility when coming from off them last time and reeling off a pretty slick third quarter at this track. If things work out to plan here he can follow through Bonus Time (2) and lob a handy position in running.

Rumbustious (Race 2 No.9) $2.20

I’m pretty keen to back this fella today. He comes right down in class having taken on a Vicbred Super Series heat and final and after lobbing back in the field in his heat, he really had no chance given how slowly they went. Prior to that he was mixing it with Rostevarran at Melton and Paris Pepperell so he really should have a class edge tonight.

While I do think Gian (1) is the horse to beat from the ace alley, they will be lining up to take the prize with roughie Kilbirnie North View (2) not hopeless along with both the last start winner Graceful Art (3) and Thesonofgeorgia (9) for that reason we will play the following two trifectas.

This looks a terrific betting race with the highly touted Romes Burning (1) returning from a break but still looking the horse to beat. Outside of him Our Walden Bury (5) has the absolute class and looks a clear second pick so hopefully we can land a multiple with one of the following three trifectas.
