Good Form Preview - Tuesday Night @ Shepparton

The Game Plan for Shepparton – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)

Well, it feels as though I’ve been gone for a very long time, but rest assured I’ve been all over the form and just waiting to get back into the thick of the action. Unfortunately tonight’s abbreviated 7-race card doesn’t offer as a lot of opportunities to get aggressive but I am super bullish about our Best Bet, I’ve got a sneaky confidence about our Best Roughie and one of our six Quads should lob if we get through leg 2 unscathed.

Best Bet ($70 Win)

Royal Hustler (Race 7 no. 6) $2.20

There are so many factors in this bloke’s favour tonight that if you’re getting anything like the black-and-white figures offered in today’s Herald Sun then you should really open the shoulders nice and wide @ 8.30pm this evening. First and foremost, he is easily the best performed & credentialed pacer in the race. Add to that the fact that he’s drawn wide on the front line in a Preferential Draw race and will almost certainly bully his way to the lead or the breeze and dominate from there and in aggregate you’ve got a horse here who really should not lose.

Best Roughie ($15 x $35)

Lost In Bangkok (Race 5 no. 11) $17

This is an interesting race. The two big guns here for mine are Smiling Spirit (1) & A Bit Ruthless (6) and for a variety of reasons I can see them cutting at each other for a fair while early on. If that does happen the race will obviously open up for a swooper and while it’s hard to know how good the above Kiwi recruit is, on face value he has run some nice races back home, including a close-up 3rd when they ripped home in 57.2 @ Alexandra Park and at the juicy quote he’s worth am Each Way wager.

The Money Race – Race 3 ($50 worth of Flexi First 4’s)

On face value Tennaya (4) really should have this lot on toast but she is a mare who doesn’t win out of turn and after four straight silver medals to her name there’s every chance she’ll find one to beat her once again tonight. Having said that my major investment above will have her to get the chocolates while the saver bet sees her lobbing into second again.

4/ 2,3,7/ 1,2,3,7/ Field. $36 gets 100%

2,3,7/ 4/ 1,2,3,7/ Field. $14 gets 38.89%

The Quads (x3 for $130)

1,5,7,8/ 1,6,11/ 8/ 6. $46 gets 383.33%

1,5,7,8/ 1,6,11/ 1,3,5,10/ 6. $72 gets 150%

1,5,7,8/ 1,6,11/ 8/ 8,13. $12 gets 50%
