Good Form Preview - Thursday @ Maryborough

The Game Plan for Maryborough – with Blake Redden (@BlakeRedden)
Best Bets ($40 win)
Claudys Princess (Race 5 No.8) $2.20
We all know how good this filly is having taken all before her heading in  to the Vic Trotters Derby. She was brave as ever when whipping to the top mid-race in a brutally run event before hanging on for second and her effort when parking outside Our Twentyten and still beating home Asdenro (3) in a heat of the Crown was good enough to suggest she is right on track. The inside barrier is a little worry but I’d expect her to get off the inside early and make her own luck at some stage.

Glenferrie Ej (Race 7 No.1) $1.70
This girl not only returned to some of her best form last, perhaps even hit a new peak when holding off all but Tandias Bromac who is low flying at the minute. She can be roughly gaited but she has most of her rivals covered here. The trick may be if she is crossed early by both Isabelle Delacour (2) and Classy Guy (4) we may see her getting off the pegs but either way, she looks mighty hard to roll.

Bad Habbott (Race 8 No.8) $4
If punters were keen for just one bet today then this is the one I’d be all over. Although this guy has only had one start in Victoria as a 3YO, he was terribly unlucky in a heat of the Crown after making a mistake early then never having much luck in the run home. Prior to that he had been roaring around Menangle in slick times, winning in 1:58.8 and a last half of 57.9secs. The most inspiring thing is that Illawong Moonshine (1) is an almost certain leader and should cart him right to the sprint lane.

The Money Races
Race 1 ($40 worth of Flexi Trifectas)
Eljaykay Phoenix (3) has clearly been the best trotter all season and while Shared Interest is closing the gap, he still has a very handy advantage over his rivals. Kyvalley Boomerang (5) is a most consistent customer and can be relied upon to finish somewhere in the placings while Col Du Galibier (4) is error-prone but filled with talent so we are playing two trifecta’s to get the cash.

3/4,5/4,5. $32 gets 1600%
3/4,5/2,6 $8 gets 200%

Race 5 ($40 worth of Flexi Trifectas)
As mentioned, Claudys Princess (8) is at the peak of her powers while Asdenro (3) should stride to the front early and he is probably better suited than when behind the leader last time. They are the two keys to the race while Master High (1) and Four Lillies (9) are the next best so the following three trifectas will aim to capitalise on that.

3,8/3,8/1,9. $24 gets 600%
3,8/1,9/3,8. $10 gets 250%
3,8/3,8/7,10. $6 gets 125%

Quaddies (x3 worth $110)
8/1,2,3,5,8/1,9/8.  $60 gets 600%
8/1,2,3,5,8/1,9/1,3,5. $30 gets 100%
3,9/1,2,3,5,8/1,9/8. $20 gets 100%
