Good Form Preview - Tuesday @ Cranbourne

The Game Plan for Cranbourne – with Blake Redden (@BlakeRedden)
Best Bet ($55 Win All Up)
Mulgrave (Race 4 No.8) $1.80
This guy showed plenty of potential early doors before having a chequered path through his 3YO career but he has started to put the score on the board in the last few months. Most impressive was his latest win around the Ararat circuit where he worked from a similar draw to the breeze and let fly with a 57.8sec last half which is quick for the circuit. The field he meets here is no stronger and he should again be very hard to roll.
Yankee Showgirl (Race 5 No.2) $1.40
Although she hasn’t notched up a win yet, I’ve been thoroughly impressed by the promise this girl has shown against some of the state’s very best fillies and even a couple of handy Kiwi’s in recent runs. To be blunt, this is a vicious drop in grade and given she should lead them; it’s hard to see anything getting past her with the scratching of her main danger.
Aldebaran Eastwood (Race 9 No.6) $3
This guy got a fair way back in a slowly run repechage of the Breeders Crown and while he didn’t make any ground behind Lightning Calder, the class there was pretty strong and he steps back to T0/1 grade here. He has enough early speed to lead them off the arm and from that position he looks a genuine even money chance.
Best Roughie ($5 win x $15 place)
Wingofwaves (Race 1 No.7) $21
We will be relying on the start here but I’m confident this blistering beginner can cross them all in the blink of an eye. It’s generally advantageous to be in the first couple in running at Cranbourne so if that scenario pans out, he is in good enough form to run a place at the very least but perhaps even win.
The Money Race
Race 7 ($50 worth of Flexi Trifectas)
This looks a pretty skinny race and with Getya Wings Out (2) and V C Devil (4) contesting the early lead but whichever horse wins that battle, they, along with Jeans Mattjesty (1) have a clear class edge on most of the field so while there isn’t a lot between them, they should run the trifecta. We will however play one little saver with Isabelle Delacour (8) and Im Living The Dream (5) to sneak a place.
Boxed 1,2,4. $42 gets 800%
1,2,4/1,2,4/5,8. $8 gets 100%

Quaddies (x4 worth $105)
2/4,6,7/1,2,4/2,3. $54 gets 300%
2/4,6,7/1,2,4/6,7,8.  $18 gets 66.66%
2/5,8,9/1,2,4/2,3. $15 gets 83.33%
1,6,7/4,6,7/1,2,4/2,3. $18 gets 33.33%
